Has anyone been to an IMAX screening before. I'm really tempted to go for the Dark Knight but it means i'll have to travel. I'm not even sure where the closest imax screen to me will be, I'm hoping Newcastle

Yeah we have an IMAX in the town where I live. All it means is a larger screen to see the film on - the only difference is if it's in 3D! I want to see the new Journey of the Earth film on the IMAX in 3D! _________________

We saw Harry Potter a couple of years ago in IMAX & I gotta agree with
Tammie... really not much different & really not worth the extra $5 per ticket... _________________

| I probably won't bother. The nearest one to me is either Glasgow (1.5 hrs drive) or Manchester (nearly 2 hrs drive) or i can walk the 25 minutes to my own cinema. and if as you lot say its not much different it hardly seems worth it. |

I can't believe Journey to the centre of the Earth isn't playing on the IMAX where I live. Infact it's hardly on anywhere near me. I did manage to find an Odeon playing the movie but most of the cinemas round here are showing it in boring 2D. It's obviously a movie that you're supposed to watch in 3D (see the trailer) _________________
