i saw the ad in buffy season 8 issue 13 for this site.
http://www.cantstoptheserenity.com/index.html
i hope u all will check it out. if your city, town, country has not yet been selected for a showing, click on the FAQ page to find out how to rally the 'browncoats' where u live to get it there.!
i hope we can all make it happen. a great cause even if u dont get to see the movie.

we are gettin it here in phoenix, arizona! one showing so far in june. i am SO there! i wasnt able to rally the az brown coats, but it was enough to be a supporter. i've been to saudia arabia for the military a ways back and although its their way, its still wicked harsh the treatment of women. as someone there fighting to protect their country i still had to follow all their rules. must say not as strongly as natives, but still i felt like i had lost about 50 yrs of rights and freedoms! i thank God everyday that i got to come back to the U.S. and be me. simple things like driving, wearing what i want, being able to talk to men, or look them in the eye, not having to be escorted by a man. all those little things make a difference, especially when u see it 1st hand.
thank you for the attention this site has brought to the charity.
luvz 2 u all, deb _________________ "Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys that maybe got loose?" |

Wow, I cannot even imagine living under those circumstances. I hope I am able to get tickets to the Houston event. Equality Now seems like a great charity to give to & I've really been wanting to see this anyway - I'll kill 2 birds, ya know. _________________

looks like a houston browncoat group has taken over for the site. i was able to find the theatre for my city, but houston seems to have rallied the browncoats. i found this for you tho, i hope it helps.
Can't Stop the Serenity Screening
What: A Showing of the Serenity movie!
Location: Alamo Drafthouse West Oaks Mall
Date: Sunday the 6th of July
Time: 7:00 pm Central
What to Bring: An appetite (hehe)
Online ticket sales should be going up on the Alamo Draft House's website very soon. They will be giving the entire box office (minus the cost of the print) to Equality Now. Since the Alamo Drafthouse will not be making anything off the admissions please come hungry and but some food and snacks! (The desserts are really good!)
More to update on this later but keep an eye out on the forums for more info as well _________________ "Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys that maybe got loose?" |
